Show it in the monitoring Grafana
By default impact analysis has a Grafana of its own. To show its dashboard in the monitoring bundle's Grafana instead:
-
Copy the provisioning files from the impact bundle into the monitoring bundle:
cp putki-impact-<v>/grafana/datasources/project-graph.yml putki-monitoring-<v>/grafana/datasources/
cp putki-impact-<v>/grafana/dashboards/putki-impact.json putki-monitoring-<v>/grafana/dashboards/ -
Give the monitoring Grafana the graph database's address and read-only login. In the monitoring bundle's compose file, add to the
grafanaservice'senvironment:GRAPH_DB_HOST: graph-db
GRAPH_DB_PORT: 5432
GRAPH_DB_NAME: project_graph
GRAPH_DB_READER: graph_reader
GRAPH_DB_READER_PASSWORD: the GRAPH_DB_READER_PASSWORD of the impact bundle
GRAPH_DB_SSLMODE: disableand attach it to the impact bundle's network (
putki-impact), the same way the join overlay attaches the monitoring bundle to the Putki stack. -
In the impact bundle, stop its own Grafana:
docker compose -f docker-compose-impact.yml stop grafana. -
Restart the monitoring Grafana:
docker compose -f docker-compose-monitoring.yml up -d.
The monitoring Grafana now has both datasources and the Putki impact analysis dashboard. Everyone who can open that Grafana can see the inside of every project.
