Upgrade or remove

Upgrade

  1. Back up first.
  2. Unzip the new bundle into a new folder, copy your .env into it, and run ./init-env.sh: it adds any setting the new version requires and leaves yours alone.
  3. From the old folder: docker compose -f docker-compose-neo4j.yml down (without -v).
  4. From the new folder: docker compose -f docker-compose-neo4j.yml up -d. It uses the same data volume.
  5. Re-run install-execution-logging.sh against each project. It replaces what an earlier version installed, including the neo4j-connection that releases before 2026.12 used.

Stop a project from recording

PUTKI_NEO4J_EXECUTION_LOGGING=false ./install-execution-logging.sh --project-home /path/to/project

This removes the connection and the location the installer added, points the run configurations at no location, and removes the Neo4j settings from the environment files. What was recorded stays in Neo4j.

Remove the bundle

docker compose -f docker-compose-neo4j.yml --profile readonly down # keeps the data
docker compose -f docker-compose-neo4j.yml --profile readonly down -v # deletes it
